Student records and registration
To enroll in your course, you’ll need to access the student portal and complete a few steps. First, you’ll need to agree to our terms and conditions, and then review and update your personal information, such as your address, contact details, course registration information, and payment information.
Throughout the month of August, we’ll gradually release courses for registration, and we’ll send you an email notification when your specific course is available. To determine your fees before registration, we’ll attach the relevant modules for the courses you’ll be completing this year if you’re enrolled in a part-time or distance learning program
New student registration
Once your course opens, we will email you with your username and password and instructions for registering, as long as you have firmly accepted an unconditional offer and completed any other tasks advised by our admissions team, for example, paid a deposit if an international student or declared whether you have a criminal conviction or not. As well as checking your other details, you will be able to upload a passport-style photograph of yourself that will be used on your student ID card.
Continuing student registration
Again courses will open in a staged way from early August, but in a change to our registration process this year, you will only register once it has been confirmed you are continuing or repeating in the next academic year. So if you have resits, you won’t register until you have received your results email. In another change, students who started a trimester B course in January 2022 and were invoiced for the full year fee won’t need to register again until January 2023. We will email your university account to let you know when registration is available for you.
Your student record
After registering, you will have access to your registration data and the ability to edit your address and contact information, including your emergency contact. In order to open a bank account or to apply for a council tax rebate or exemption from councils outside of Glasgow, you can ask for a document proving your status as a student. Also, you will have the option to withdraw from or put a stop to your studies. Typically, the Programme Leader will review and approve this. You can log back in to see if it was accepted, denied, or is still pending.
